 Monsoon is here, water is everywhere, but we are thirsty! Every day when we read newspapers we come across one or other news item regarding water problems.
We feel sorry for such areas with water problems and curse our Government; and then turn to other pages. Nepal, second in terms of water sources in the world, is longing for water. Isn’t it an irony? |

New cholera cases have been detected in Kathmandu Valley over the past one week. The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) under the Department of Health has confirmed cholera in 21 people. But the actual number of infected, the division warns, could be many times more. 
KATHMANDU: Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) under Department of Health Services (DoHS) has sounded alarm about cholera outbreak in Kathmandu Valley with 21 people already testing positive for the disease.
KAVRE: The villagers of Ugrachandi and Tukucha Nala in Kavre have launched a wetland conservation programme to address the drinking water shortage in the region.
