Kathmandu: Independent member of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) Executive Board Prayag Lal Joshi has been appointed as the new chairman of the KUKL Executive Board. “Finally, the new chairman has been appointed after a long dispute,” said KUKL Spokesperson Suresh Acharya adding, “The board members did not agree on the name of Timila Yami. The members selected the new chairman through legitimate procedure.”

Similarly, Mahesh Kafle, representative from the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has been appointed in the Recruitment and Procurement Committee. Joshi, who had entered KUKL Executive Board as an independent member some six months ago, has experience of 30 years in the drinking water sector. “I will focus on providing relief to the Kathmanduites as soon as possible,” said Joshi, adding, “Effective management and leakage control are necessary to provide relief to the consumers from the existing water woes.”
