Kathmandu-For the second week in a row, traffic police have continued their road clean-up campaign in the Kathmandu Valley.

The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), as part of its social initiative, on Saturday cleaned road stretches and drainage channels on Maitighar-Tripureshwor, Kupondole-Thapathali and Rantnapark roads.

The cleanliness campaign, initiated last week, aims to minimize road accidents and reinstall signs, railings, dividers, traffic islands and other structures to help control and direct traffic congestions.

The MTPD also cleaned and rearranged road dividers and equipped them with fluorescent reflection stickers. Around 500 traffic personnel, led by MTPD DIG Upendra Kant Aryal and other police officers, conducted the social campaign.
