Achham: The locals of Mangalsen are facing acute shortage of drinking water, as there is no water supply from 150 public taps since the last week. The locals, hospital patients and hotel entrepreneurs are badly hit by water scarcity.

Public Health Officer Shailendra Shrestha said, “There is no water even for patients to take medicine. The toilets are clogged for no water supply in the hospital.”
Chief of Drinking Water and Sanitation Sub Division Office Binod Bishwakarma said told that the office has not been able to supply water, as there is no water in the source itself. District Chairman of NGO Federation Bhaktaraj Dhungana said that there is water scarcity every year in Mangalsen despite having plenty of water sources but improper management.
