Kathmandu: Staffs of Ministry of Health are facing acute shortage of drinking water after the contractor, responsible to supply water, did not supply water in the ministry even after the Dashain holidays. The staffs working in the ministry are compelled to visit canteen even for taking medicine due to lack of drinking water in the office.

Vice-secretary of the ministry Indramani Pokhrel was quenching his thirst by drinking tea in the canteen. Arjun Thapa, a heart patient who is drinking black tea without sugar in the canteen said, “I am taking medicine with this black tea after I did not find drinking water in the ministry.”
