Kathmandu: Freshwater Action Network (FAN), network of various civil society organizations working for water and sanitation sector on Tuesday demanded that rights to drinking water and sanitation be ensured as fundamental rights in the new statute.

A two-day discussion on developing national strategic work plan had put forth the demands. In a press statement, FAN said, “The member organizations will be lobbying with Constituent Assembly members and pressure the respective CA committee.”
