Dhading: The Village Development Committee is going to cut off its services to those consumers who do not construct toilet in their homes. The Maidi Village Development Committee has decided not to give its services to those families who do not use toilet and defecate in the open.

This decision was made so that every house in the VDC construct toilet, which will help to declare the VDC an open defecation free zone. At present, many houses are constructing toilet under the toilet construction campaign launched in the VDC with the slogan-“One House One Toilet”.
“Those families who defecate in the open will be deprived of the services and facilities provided by the VDC. Only the families who use toilet will get VDC’s services,” said VDC secretary Narayan Shrestha, adding, “This decision will compel all the households in the VDC to construct toilet.”
