Dang: Students of Dhikpur Village Development Committee get additional 10 marks in exam for having toilet in their house. The students not having toilet in their house do not get additional marks in exam. Women and youths of Dhikpur VDC have made this idea to make their VDC an open defecation free zone.

The schools also accepted their idea and made rule to give additional 10 marks in exam to the students having concrete toilet in their house. Similarly, the school made rule to give additional 5 marks in exam to the students having temporary toilet. This has made the students feel proud for having toilet in their house. They have made a slogan, “I am proud of having toilet in my house”.
In the initiation of the students, the Dhikpur VDC has been declared an open defecation free zone. Dhikpur VDC is the first to become an open defecation free area in the Rapti zone. Anyone who visits Dhikpur VDC has to use toilet. Otherwise, the students will penalize them. According to the statistics, out of 2183 toilets constructed in the VDC, 1433 are concrete and 750 are temporary toilets.
