Kathmandu: Employees of Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC) have staged agitation against the unjust dismissal of employees working on contract basis by the Minister for Physical Planning and Works Hridayesh Tripathy. The agitated employees have halted works and services of NWSC central office in Tripureswor.

The agitating employees have blamed that minister Tripathy has forcefully fired 94 employees working on contract basis. President of Nepal National Employees Union NWSC Central Committee Samir Pandit has warned to halt all the 22 branch offices in the country if the fired employees are not reinstated soon. He blamed that minister Tripathy has tried to appoint his party activists in the NWSC by dismissing the employees working in the NWSC for the past many years.
